for the first pages of the paperwork on the description of
the novel and summarize what the author’s thesis and argument are, should be no
longer than a page and a half. For the next 2-3 pages work on analyzing the
novel by considering the following questions: What philosophical
positions does the author take? How does the author justify her/his argument?
Are the author’s premises true, probable, or plausible? Is the argument of the
book sound? Are there historical comparisons? What was the context of the
writing? Which other philosophers have taken a similar/opposite view to the
author? for any of the historical comparisons, see if you can bring up anything by any ancient philosophers that can support any claims that you make
All questions do not have to be answered, so long as you fit
them into 2-3 pages. for the final 2-3 pages work on a response in which you describe
whether you agree with the author? Present a reasoned argument why you do
or do not? What other philosophy/philosophers would you use to support your response?
How would you modify the author’s position? I need at least 6-7 full pages, this would be greatly appreciated,
and I thank you for your service.
