This week our topic surrounds Service member reintegration following a deployment. The seemingly mundane aspects include returning gear and completing a post-deployment health reassessment. However, there are some other aspects that are less mundane and require quite a bit more attention. While deployed, it is acceptable and even encouraged to be hypervigilant, but upon return stateside hypervigilance is discouraged.
Discuss the benefits of being hypervigilant in a deployed atmosphere versus the concern for the same hypervigilance at home. Additionally, explain why Service member aggression coupled with combat skills tend to make civilians uneasy.
