Pediatricians use percentiles and percentile ranks when reviewing the rate of growth for children. This information gives them more specific data about where a child’s growth is in comparison to other children their same age. This can help assess if there are growth problems that need to be addressed for the child.

For this Discussion, you will just be taking your table from the previous discussion and adding two more columns to provide a clearer picture as to how an interval of data relates to the whole. By knowing what the cumulative data states, you can review a table of the data for a quick and precise analysis of the information.

Using the grouped frequency distribution table from Discussion 1 this week, you will add to the existing table by adding a column for the cumulative frequency and a column for the cumulative percentage. Please display your table.

From the table you have created, find two percentages that are not already listed on your table (such as 40% or 50%). Please show your math on how you reached these two percentages that you have chosen.
