Discuss the terms/concepts: deterrence, perceptual deterrence, and situational crime prevention;
Explain the relationship between the concepts of swift, severe, and certainty;
Briefly summarize Ronald Clarke’s (1992) Situational Prevention techniques; and
Present one detailed example of a situational crime prevention initiative by focusing on one particular technique outlined by Clarke. Be sure to demonstrate how this technique relates to either deterrence, perceptual deterrence, or both.
