Question: Toward the end of my commentary on “Trifles” I ask whether the women can be held morally responsible for impeding the investigation if they didn’t have the right to be represented in voting or even on the jury – they were
not allowed to have any part in making the laws or enforcing them. But Mrs. Peters says the law must be upheld
and enforced. So… Did the women do the right thing in hiding the evidence they found?
