Create an account on www.smartdraw.com and use the trial option to create a crime scene sketch. The sketch must include the following (35 Points): Sketch must include four rooms minimum (residential or commercial), include the indoor and outdoor dimensions and/or measurements of the building. One victim minimum. Identify the North (N) direction.
Identify measurements and maintain correct proportions between victim and furniture or appliances. Use the crime scene items (icons) available in the software. Include ten different items identified as physical evidence minimum (use numbers for identification, name and description). Include and identify the individual dimensions for each physical evidence item. Include for each physical evidence item its measured distance from reference point to its location. Include doors, windows, furniture, appliances, restrooms, etc. The typed narrative (report) of the crime scene has to describe the following (15 Points): Specify when the crime was committed (date, time, and location or address).
Describe how the crime was committed (be specific and include details). Perpetrator’s pathway (entrance and exit) description. All the physical evidence items identified in the crime scene sketch including ID number and their description.
