Hello, I am looking for someone to rewrite and add to what I started. it has to be 250 words and is on the 8th amendment.

My answer so far:
The Eighth Amendment is essential to everyday life. It was added to the constitution in 1791(Bruce). It states that bail, fines, or punishment must match the crime committed. This is very important because it makes that courts or judges can not be excessive in any way. For instance, a person can not be given the death penalty for stealing a candy bar. The part the means the most to me is cruel and unusual punishment. The most controversial aspect of the eighth amendment is that the fifth says the government may not deprive a person of “life” without due process of law. (Eighth Amendment)
