Create an interview scenario with a gym manager
Primary sources for these assignments should be potential competitors, suppliers, consultants, or other individuals who have expertise in the industry /business you are developing. Potential customers can not be part of this submission. You will have to identify at least three primary sources. There are three separate submissions for Primary Sources that you willl have to identify and learn from. While the submissions are spread out during a few weeks, I encourage you to identify and reach out to them ASAP. There’s not penalty for submitting early, and frankly the earlier you identify them and gather data the better it will be for your forecast.
You should begin this assignment by crafting a series of questions that you would want to ask your primary source. Someone that would help you fine tune your idea, and start to lay the groundwork for your forecast. Refer to the document ‘Primary Source Questions’ in Course Resources with questions/themes to help you understand what to ask.
You should do everything possible to meet one-on-one with your sources. A lot can be learned from in person interviews and even shadowing them. IF not possible, a phone conversation/ video chat is the best next option. You should avoid at all costs getting information just from email communications. The depth and quality of your learning will be impacted if that’s how you gather information from primary sources.
