This project will focus on Gender Politics, and its impact on us as individuals, and a society. Gender politics is defined as the following: a debate about the roles and relations of men and women, including which behaviors or expectations for each are promoted or discouraged. It also involves how we talk about sex, sexuality, and gender, and what we deem socially “acceptable.” This concept becomes complicated when we discuss the multiple meanings of “gender” and “politics,” and what it means to be “masculine” and “feminine,: Who really decides? There are many ways to approach this topic, and looking at a specific “text” to rhetorically analyze in our paper will help you analyze and explore how we use gender politics. You can rhetorically analyze whichever text you feel invested in, as long as it involves something that concerns “Gender Politics” and how we see gender and the sexes.
