Does the research article describe a quantitative study or a qualitative study?
What type of research is the study (quantitative—descriptive, correlational, quasi-experimental, or experimental; qualitative-phenomenological, grounded theory, ethnography, or historical)?
What is the problem statement? Is the problem stated unambiguously, and is it easy to identify?
Does the problem have significance for nursing?
What is the purpose?
Are research questions and/or hypotheses explicitly stated? If not, is their absence justified?
Are questions and hypotheses appropriately worded, with clear specification of key variables and the study population?
Are the questions/hypotheses consistent with the literature review and the conceptual framework?
What is the complete citation for your article?
Where did you find the article? (If online, provide the URL where the full text can be found.)
This online activity must be submitted in paragraph format on its own document (Word or PDF), each question and sub-question should be answered, and ideas should flow. This whole assignment should be done in APA, therefore, should include a title page, in-text citations (if appropriate). You will need to provide the article citation under the appropriate question on the document and add it to the reference page as well. Chapter 5 (Table 5.1) can assist you with this activity.
