Bullying has long been a problem among children and young adults. While some children become bullies at a young age, other children end up following a completely different path, one of pro-social behavior and altruism. Please discuss why you think some children end up being bullies and why other children end up being more helpful and supportive of their peers.

In a second paragraph, please discuss what you think can be done, at either the individual or institutional level (or even a societal level), to minimize bullying and increase pro-social behavior. Feel free to mention any personal experiences you may have had with bullying or pro-social behavior (preferably pertaining to childhood or young-adulthood).
