To update the me on your progress
To help you reflect on, and learn about, your creative process
Each week you should be:
reading at least one chapter from your media arts book,
reviewing professional work samples in your field, and
working independently on your production projects.
These posts should reflect all of this work.
Each post should include one paragraph on each of the following:
Review of the media arts book chapter you read.
Reflections on professional work you have reviewed (email me if you need help finding professional work related to your own media practice).
Discussion of how these influences informed your production work this week or will inform future production work.
Updates on your portfolio progress.
Are you on track to meet your deadlines?
Reflect on your challenges and successes this week
Discuss what you can do next week to improve your productivity.
Style
You should take ample time to carefully compose and revise your post. This is NOT a quick or informal status post. Writing style, grammar and spelling will be considered in your overall grade. However, these posts are not formal papers. Enjoy the writing and use it as an opportunity to learn more about your craft and process.
