The history of medicine

This paper is to be about the history of medicine throughout history (as outlined below). While there is no specific length requirement, the paper should be thorough and include:
Contributions of different cultures/regions and should include time periods ranging from prehistoric times to the present including eastern medicine, Greeks/Romans, Egypt, western medicine, etc
Major contributions of significant people leading to key advancements such as Galen, Fleming, Pasteur, Jennings, and others
Significant advances and discoveries in medicines and treatments such as sanitation, the discovery of antibiotics and vaccines (and their impact), etc., all the way into the modern era including molecular biology and gene editing.
Papers will be graded based on the detail of the subject matter, as well as attention to grammar.
Do your best to use APA formatting, although I won’t take off for small mistakes. While references may refer to online articles, they should not include sources such as Wikipedia (since Wikipedia can be written/changed by anyone, and what you read may be different than what I see when I grade the paper). This assignment should be your own work and may be checked for plagiarism using Turnitin. Using all or part of a paper that you previously wrote for a different class is plagiarism.
