Opinion Piece 5: The Twenties Culture

The United States’ urban transformation in the early 20th century led to the rise of a culture clash between modernists and fundamentalists. In the twenties, the country witnessed the rise of radios, urbanization, diversity, the KKK, rejection of science, and more. Since today, the United States has experienced cultural wars that are somewhat similar.
Question
After reading about the fundamentalists in the Cultural Wars of the 1920s in the textbook and the supplemental reading, what strikes you the most? Explain, using historical information and details, the Cultural Wars of the period. Find one of those articles (below) to explain and to illustrate your points about this decade (also use details from the lesson)
Do we, in the United States, still have these types of cultural fights? Use the same concept (religion, urbanization, KKK, etc.) you used to describe the 1920s. Use information and details to explain your answer.
You must use one of the articles in your Opinion Piece (one or more quotes).
