Designing a Lesson

Create an Instructional Plan for a standards-based learning experience
in your school setting, using strategies from this module’s Learning
Resources. Use the MSED Instructional Plan Template located in the
MSED Documents area under Course Home.
In this module, begin working on the following sections of the
Instructional Plan template:

• Learning Outcomes/Goals
* Include a minimum of two learning outcomes/goals for
your lesson.

• Learning Objectives
*Include a minimum of two learning objectives for your
lesson.

• Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy
• Standards Addressed
o Be sure to include all national and/or state standard(s)
the lesson will address as well as the professional
standards for your specialization and those standards
that are used in your local educational setting.

• Real-World Context
• Collaboration
• Learning Experience/Activity
• Instructional Strategies
• Materials
Be sure to include a minimum of one digital
tool/technology to be used in the lesson that
enhances student learning.

• Differentiation
*Include two ways you will differentiate curriculum
to engage all learners
