Your literature review should summarize the state of the research, major conclusions, and the professional opinion on your topic or research question.
In your literature review, you should
Summarize (instead of analyze) the most recent research and empirical analysis;
Identify trends or major strands of thought;
Attempt to be comprehensive on the topic or main hypothesis;
Focus principally on academic and professional research; and
Conclude with a brief discussion of implications for your methodology and approach to empirically analyzing your hypothesis.
The paper should have an introduction, body of the literature, and brief conclusion. You should present the paper in narrative form (not outlined or bulleted), and cite references and readings where appropriate.
