artist. Tell us about this artwork. Why was it made? For what reason? Give some

Paragraph #2 . Give a formal
description of this artwork using the vocabulary from the elements and
principles handout. Be specific in your description. 10pts
Paragraph #3 Give a critical analysis using one
of the methodologies described in chapter 1 of the Adams text, to analyze this
artwork. A critical analysis using a methodology (lens) is like an
informed editorial. This is where you get to say what you think the artwork
means and give concrete examples from the artwork itself to back up why you
think so. There are no correct or incorrect answers, only effective and
ineffective arguments. Makes yours convincing by using clear examples to back
up your arguments.10pts
Paragraph #4 Give a brief analysis
of the style of the artwork, including art historical influences. When
listing the movement, be sure to make it contemporary to the artwork you are
discussing. For instance, a sculpture made in 1973 could be inspired/influenced
by Ancient Greece but it could not be Classical Greek because of the time in
which it was made. It will belong to something more contemporary. Be
specific in your examples. For example: The rough textures and naturalistic
shapes of this Pop sculpture echo the Impressionist work of Rodin’s
Balzac. 10 pts
Paragraph #5 Give your personal opinion of the
work. Tell us what you like or dislike about it and why? Why did you choose
this artwork to discuss? What type of value do you believe it holds? Give
specific examples from the artwork to explain your opinion. 10pts
