Based on Groen and Kawalilak’s (2014, Chapter 4) philosophical orientations (i.e., liberal, progressive, behaviourist, humanist, and critical), select two or three that most inform your interests and practice in adult education. This assignment should be completed in three parts:
Introduction, including a description of your interests and/or practice in adult education and learning, and a brief overview of the philosophical orientations most applicable to your interests and practice.

Selected philosophical orientations, with subheadings (if you prefer) and explanations of why the orientations you have chosen are most relevant to your practice and/or interests. The purpose is to draw connections between your interests, practice, and the orientations. In addition to Groen and Kawalilak’s (2014) description of the orientations, you may draw upon other parts of that textbook or other sources, such as journal articles, to develop your philosophy of adult education and learning.

Reflective closing, for example, with thoughts on questions that have emerged with the orientations you have chosen, or other orientations that have not been considered.
