Why does physical attractiveness seem to be associated with less well-being in Ghana and in the rural United States compared to the urban United States?

Option 1: Physical Attraction and Beauty
Chapter 11 talked quite a bit about beauty and attractiveness, both in terms of cultural differences in what we consider attractive and differences in how attractiveness is related to well-being. If you choose to take the attractiveness conversation further this week, there are two items I would like for you to consider as a jumping off point for your discussion:
Why does physical attractiveness seem to be associated with less well-being in Ghana and in the rural United States compared to the urban United States? What cultural features would be tied to the relationship between physical attractiveness and well-being?
Given what you’ve learned about relational mobility, in what context do you think people would invest larger portions of their income in cosmetics, clothing, and other beauty items to make them look/feel more attractive? Why?
Option 2: Arranged Marriages
This chapter discussed romantic love relationships as well as arranged marriages. What do you think would be the pros and cons of both arranged marriages and love marriages? Why do you think arranged marriages have been declining around the world?
Option 3: A Hypothetically Less Corrupt Culture
