Symbolism in relation to post modernism

This paper will explore symbolism in architecture during the influence of post colonialism. So first you need to research about post colonialsim and then research about symbolism and architecture then find a connection or a relationship in a way where postcolonialism effects become a symbolism to architecture, then you need to make a case study about it (a city where you talk about several architectures in it) You can talk about elements from the impact of colonialism that are more symbolis vs less thats how you can compare the architectures. You can even compare two cities. Ill attach a chapter from a book that I was assigned to choose a book thats mentioned in it and make it my case study. You can either talk about Metcalf’s book or/and politics of design in french.
Ill also list a couple of books that talk about symbolism: Venturi complecity and contradiction in architecture. Venturi learning from Las Vegas. Maybe Rossi architecture of the city (not sure check). You can check out more books or articles that talk about symbolism and then find books that talk about postcolonialism including the one ill attach to you, then find a connection and make a case study from books in what i’ll attach like the ones I mentioned above, MetCalf and the politics in design..
