. a time that brought about a significant change in your lifestyle (poverty, money, children, etc)

You will need to write a 3-5 page MLA essay in the mode of a personal narrative. You will have an academic introduction, body and academic conclusion. You will follow the narrative arc of action and plot, remember that you are telling a story. Also, it is important that you follow the academic conventions for all essays (see Lesson 1). In an essay this short, I would avoid over use of dialog since you will not have the space to fully develop the conversation. This should be an essay that requires no research and should be a personal life experience with no citations.
The Narrative Essay should be a 3-5 page typed essay that is completed in strict MLA format. (Please see the MLA guide as posted in Lesson 2.) Your paper should be written using one of the approved topics provided in the above section. It is key that you begin mastering academic conventions now, such as: no contractions or abbreviations, writing out numbers less than 100, and using appropriate transitions (a full list can be found in Lesson 1). Please submit your essay in a BlackBoard compatible format: pdf, rtf, doc, docx.
