Does having loss of money from poor management and lack of knowledge contribute to job loss?

Identifying
a legitimate research problem
A question qualifies as a good research
question if it contains specific features. A good research question should
relate to the surrounding environment; this means that a research question
should be motivated by what people can relate to. The ability of a research
question to capture people’s attention and interest makes it a good research
question. The question should also be based on previous research literature
about the topic (Leedy & Ormrod, 2019). It is important to read existing
literature about the topic to understand whether the research question has any
relationship with previous research. For instance, reading through existing
literature helps identify if the question addresses a specific suggestion for
future research from previous research. The research question should be
realistic and achievable; a question that addresses unreachable things is not
legit.
I
work for a non- profit organization that provides services for people with
mental disabilities and brain injuries. I started out as a direct care worker
and then worked my way to the corporate offices of the organization. I
basically know the ins and outs of the organization because I have worked in
different sectors of the organization. From an analytical perspective, I am
able to access what the organization could improve on. I feel that my
organization could be more stable if there was not loss of money. Working in
the cooperate offices I went from a funding specialist to working in Human
Resources. As a funding specialist I am able to understand some of the reason
why money is lost on a daily basis. My research problem for this organization
would be mainly to fix these issues by finding out the strong hold of some of
the issues my organization faces. I know that my organization has a legitimate
research problem because we have lost billions of dollars carelessly that could
have been saved if our finance department comes up with a research plan to stop
monetary loss and job loss. Lay offs will occur when the company has loss of
money and is not able to pay for employees in the masses. Does having loss of
money from poor management and lack of knowledge contribute to job loss?
Subparts
of the social problem for the research problem
A
research problem might address a wide or complex topic that requires dividing
into smaller manageable parts. The subparts of a research problem should have
specific key characteristics. The subproblems should be researchable on their
own. Each subproblem should be a logical part of the research problem that can
be studied separately but relates to the larger research question (Leedy &
Ormrod, 2019). Each subdivision should also be dependent on the data
interpretation; the subproblem should require that data be collected and
interpreted. A subproblem should support the totality of the problem; the
subproblems should not extend beyond the scope of the main problem or research
question. Similarly, the research problems should be few to make them more
realistic; a good research question should contain between two and six
subproblems. Generally, the research problems help to research a systematic
approach.
How
to make the determinations and the details of the determination process
Breaking
down the research problem can happen using two approaches; the first approach
is the paper and pencil approach, where the major problem or question is
written down, and the subproblems are identified. The paper and pencil approach
include; writing the problem, critical examination of the written problem,
determining the need for data analysis and interpretation, and arrangement of
the entire research problem (Leedy & Ormrod, 2019). The second approach is
by using mind mapping or brainstorming software. Mind mapping involves using
computer software to divide the main problem or research problem into smaller
parts. The software allows a researcher to brainstorm ideas and develop graphic
networks comprising related ideas, words, and guidelines.
Planning
for a research process
In
planning for such a research process, I would first determine an appropriate
theoretical or conceptual framework. A theoretical framework provides insights
into the existing or new concepts that contribute to the area of research. A
conceptual framework determines the main concepts and the connections between
them that, when combined, provides a view that researchers can use to look at
the scope of the research (Leedy & Ormrod, 2019). The second step of the
research process would be the statement of the hypothesis. A hypothesis links
the existing theory and specific research questions; it is also helpful in data
analysis and evaluation of the research validity and reliability (Politano et al.,
2017). The next step is identifying the general concepts and the
specific variables that are also the central focus of the investigation. Other
steps include identifying variables, defining the terms, stating assumptions of
the research, and identifying the study limitations and strengths.
How
the research questions apply to the final project
The
proposed research question helps researchers determine what they want to
answer. The knowledge is helpful in the planning of the final project; one can
identify and predict possible challenges of the final project, save on time,
energy, and effort put on the project (Politano et al., 2017). The proposed
research questions give the guidelines to handle the final project using a
systematic method.
