Choose any topic from the list below. The assigned readings for each topic are listed in the Course Outline in the syllabus and are uploaded in Course Documents. The date right next to the topic is the due date for the summary. You will see that the topics are ordered chronologically as they appear in the Course Outline in the syllabus.

The Reading Summary consists of two parts:
1) a summary of the main arguments in the readings, assigned for your topic and your own opinion/critical evaluation of these arguments. The summary should be 3-4 pages long. Your opinion should be about 1-2 paragraphs.
2) powerpoint slides, accompanying the summary. The slides should be your presentation of the readings you are summarizing – feel free to include images, political cartoons and whatever else you believe is applicable and makes for a good presentation.
The DEADLINE for the Summary depends on the topic you choose – see the due date for each topic below.
Your summary and slides should be emailed to me as 2 attachments in a single email. (Please do not email the summary separate from the slides.) Email to:dessie.zagorcheva@gmail.com.

The Reading Summary could be done individually or as a group project. Groups should be no more than 3 students and could work together via Blackboard Collaborate Ultra or any other platform. If you’d like to do a group presentation, please let me know ASAP.
