Developing an online course takes time and
planning to have an engaging, interactive, and content-rich learning space.
In this assignment, you will reflect on your
strengths and weaknesses revealed in three self-assessments. Are your results
universal to other online learners?

Step 2. Analyze
Analyze your strengths and weaknesses from each perspective – as a student,
course designer, and as an instructor. Are your strengths and weaknesses
universal to online learners, course designers, or online instructors? Why or
why not? What do you need to address your weaknesses? Will your strengths
contribute to your capacity to design online learning opportunities?
Step 3. Identify
Identify theoretical grounded strategies to address weaknesses of online
learners based on the results of your self-review.
Step 4. Compile
Compile information from Steps 1-4 into an infographic to guide your
development of an online training or workshop. A resource for creating
infographics is linked on the Learning Objects page, or you may create your
infographic using another tool or format of your choice.
Step 5. Summarize
Summarize the results of your self-assessment and describe your infographic in a paper. What do the
results of your self-evaluation mean to you as a student? As an instructor? As
a course designer?
