A realization event that I expereienced was helping families in need when volunteering for Hope for Christmas which is a community event to raise money for less fortunate families. We have a Christmas tree lighting and raise money for the families. The first year we raised 2000 dollars and helped 3 families. Last year we raised over 4000 dollars and helped 4 families and we hope to have bigger and better this year. It is humbleing to see the parents not what to have to ask for help but to provide for there families they have to and to see the faces on the parents who have hit a rough patch in there lives but are actually going to have christmas to give there families is rewarding. It is actually fun to shop for these kids and the feeling of knowing that they are going to get what they want is amazing.
