Find an informant from someone belonging to an American cultural or subcultural group who lives nearby, interview them, and write up a report of what you learned about the culture. For example: a Haitian-American, a Cuban-American, or a Chinese-American, telling you about (for example) Chinese/Chinese-American culture. Tell me a little bit about who they are (background) and how/why you chose them to interview.
Ask them about their culture. Rituals, holidays, foods, clothing, practices, folklife, jargon, worldview, values, perceptions, traditions, art and music. Etc. Write up a 2-3 page paper on what you learned about their culture from this informant. Does not require additional bibliography. You can interview more than one person if you want.
