In
order for student affairs departments to operate effectively and efficiently,
leaders must intentionally develop teams to uphold common values as well as
understand their strengths and vulnerabilities. This process is dynamic, as
each team has a unique identity that evolves over time.
In
750-1,000 words, analyze factors that contribute to or inhibit team success.
Address
the following:
Describe the common factors of team members which
allow a team to thrive.
Explain how you would evaluate the strengths and
weaknesses of a department based upon the individual members.
Explain one of the dysfunctions of a team that could
be a personal struggle for you within the workplace, and describe how you
will address this challenge.
Describe what you might do to lessen that dysfunction
within a team you would lead.
Explain how you would model functional leadership
within the context of student affairs.
While
APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic
writing is expected, and in-text citations and references should be presented
using APA documentation guidelines.
