Describe, in detail, what you need to see from a senior living community to feel comfortable moving in your loved ones.

For the final paper you have a choice of two topic options:
Option #1
You have just been told that your grandparents, or other frail elderly loved ones, must move into a senior living community. There are no family members or friends who can stay at home with them. You work full time outside of your home and cannot leave them at home alone while you are away. Hiring a home care company will be cost prohibitive due to the amount of time and levels of care your loved ones require (a very, very common, even typical, situation these days). Describe, in detail, what you need to see from a senior living community to feel comfortable moving in your loved ones. Take into consideration how a pandemic like COVID-19 may impact your decisions. Please provide details, reasons, explanations, and references to articles/videos/content presented during this course. If you were wondering why you needed all those readings and videos, this is why. Please feel free to bring in other information, industry articles, facts, and concepts not included in the course.

Option #2
There has not been much, if any, research looking at the differences in outcomes for seniors who choose to remain in their homes compared to seniors who move to a retirement community. Based on the seven areas of focus this semester, please take on the role of a researcher and speculate (your thoughts) on what you expect the findings would be in this comparison (seniors living at home vs. seniors living in a retirement community). Please consider the possible impact on these outcomes based on a pandemic like COVID-19. Feel free to interview people who might be living in either of environments–residents in seniors housing and those choosing to age in their homes.
