Paper 2 should be between 750 and 800 words. In this paper, you will have the choice between two paper topics.
Option 1: You will first create 2-3 social media-like posts from the point of view of an artist/artistic subject we have studied. Put these images at beginning of the paper (pasted into a Word document). Then, in 750-800 words, explain the context of these posts. Who is the subject of these social media posts? What is the context of these posts (artistic, cultural, historical, etc.). You must consult and utilize at least 1 credible source if you choose this project. I will not grade the social media posts based upon their artistic merit. Rather, I will use the attached rubric to assess them and the written portion of this option.
Option 2: If you select Option 2, you will write a tourist brochure on an architectural monument from the Ancient Empires we study in class. Alternatively, you may select a more modern building. You should use at least 3 images (found on the internet) for this brochure. I recommend you integrate these images in with the text. You must consult and utilize at least 1 credible source as reference material for the written part of this assignment. For the written portion, you should provide details about this monument to inform your reader. Also, entice your reader with interesting information.
Standards for Both Options: Please do not use long quotations in this paper/project. Paraphrase when possible, and quote sparingly. For both of these options, you must cite all borrowed information even if you put this information into your own words. ALL borrowed information should be cited with in-text citations (formatted according to MLA guidelines). Also, create a works cited page with entries for any sources you use in the text.
This paper should conform to the standards your learned in ENC 1101. Each paragraph should have its own main idea, and the essay should flow well. Papers should have few, if any, grammatical/mechanical errors.
