In a 3-4 page paper, discuss the ways in which the Tuskegee Syphilis study violated The Belmont Report, which
established the principles that underlie the current ethical guidelines for research. In your analysis focus, on Part C
(Applications): How did the study violate Informed Consent, Assessment of Risks and Benefits and Selection of
Subjects? Provide specific examples from the documentary for each violation you believe occurred. Close your paper
with a discussion of what should have happened- in other words, what should the researchers have done from the
beginning to conduct their study in an ethical manner?
