One of the more controversial topics when it comes to nicotine involves the use of e-cigarettes. Over the last decade, the use of e-cigarettes has increased in popularity while the popularity of cigarette smoking has continued to decline. Some argue that e-cigarettes provide a safer alternative to cigarettes because they don’t involve the inhalation of tobacco smoke, but others argue that it is too early to be able to adequately assess the risks of e-cigarettes.
For this assignment, you will write a one page (single-spaced, a minimum of 500 words) paper on the question of whether e-cigarettes are a safe alternative to cigarettes.
In your paper, introduce the issue and then provide evidence to support or refute the safety of e-cigarettes as an alternative to cigarettes. Your paper should be well-organized and clearly written in a formal style.
For your evidence, you should find a minimum of 2 sources from the University Libraries to support your case. Remember that suitable sources for this course must come from the University Libraries. Other sources (e.g. websites) will NOT be considered suitable.
Use in-text citations when you refer to information from your sources, and provide a reference list at the end of your paper. Do not quote any material from any sources for this assignment; everything should be in your own words. If needed, refer back to the References and Citing module for additional information about APA guidelines for this course.
