Discussion Purpose:
This discussion will assist you in establishing the most important standard operating procedures (SOPs). These critical operating standards and procedures are those that, if not implemented, puts the business most at risk of failure or being closed. In addition, SOPs are used as the basis for developing training programs so they are central to efficiently and effectively operating the business.

After reviewing the sources provided and sample operating plans:
Discuss four (4) major areas which serve to comply with legal mandates (laws), policies (operating decisions) which demonstrate best practices to reduce liability, and gaps (either laws or policies that they did not or should address in the SOPs).
Example areas one would expect to see in SOPs address: Responsible Beverage Service, Operation Hours and Liquor Licensing, Theft Prevention, Safety of Employees and Guests, Service Standards.
Review and respond meaningfully to at least 2 classmates. Meaningful responses include what you learned from their research that you would consider including in your business plan and offering more insight and resources to them for their business plan.
