Explain how the Union or Confederacy could have won a battle in which they lost. You will be researching background and military strategies.

– The battles you are choosing from are battles either the Union lost or the Confederacy lost. You will be answering the question, “how could the Confederacy win the Battle of Gettysburg?” or “how could the Union win the Battle of Richmond?” You will apply this question to your battle choice.

– Once you have picked your battle, research your choice and supply an understanding and detailed background of what happened. Be sure to include losses and strategies.

– With a clear understanding and background of your battle, answer the question mentioned above.
Be sure to only use weapons of the time period, the resources you have at hand (if it was possible for you to get more resources), explain the military strategy you would have done differently to win the battle.
