The idea of technology and the changes that come with technology as being disruptive are explored in this week. When we examine industries such as retail, travel, and financial services we see entirely new models of service delivery enabled by information technology. As leaders of social change in the health industry, you have the opportunity to learn from these practices and enable transformation in health settings. This week allows you to investigate these theories and proven practices in other industries and discuss how these practices can be applied in health care.

This week you are asked to focus on one of the most difficult tasks in leadership: change management. Given the disruptive nature of technology on health care operations, you are asked to recommend strategies to help lead both internal and external stakeholders through change.
