By applying Backwards Design, you will map out, critique, and evaluate content and methods for an online training.
Step 1. Assess

Step 3. Evaluate
Study leading online learning
theories to evaluate methods of providing continuous feedback in online
courses. Incorporate at least one method of continuous feedback into
your course plan.
Step 4. Demonstrate
Demonstrate a transition from
a “sage on the stage” to a “the guide on the side” by creating an
engaging visual for emphasizing or highlighting a central “disorienting
dilemma”/real-world problem students will address collaboratively as an
assignment within the course. Ensure the visual includes an accessible
chart, graph, or infographic.
Step 5. Reflect
Reflect on how you will meet
attribution and accessibility standards through your design of the
online training. Reflect on your role as a student advocate while
creating this training by commenting on specific details such as font
size and/or color choice.
Step 6. Compile
Compose a 1- to 2-page
introduction to your proposed training course describing how you
addressed Steps 1-4. Follow your introduction with your visual and
instructions for the collaborative real-world problem assignment along
with your updated curriculum planning template filled in as directed.
Step 7. Submit
Submit your 4-to 6-page document in APA format. Include a title page and references page.
