Write an essay on “the importance of the Crown Act” or “the truth behind the feud between DuBois and Washington.”

Create a bibliography (at least 10 entries) that focuses on a major theme or concept from (or inspired by) the course. Each entry must be followed by 3-5 complete sentences that give a brief summary of the source and what it contributes to your understanding of the theme. At least half of the entries must be scholarly sources (journal articles and book chapters). The remaining entries may include material from databases, online writing, and other texts or media. Encyclopedia and dictionary entries may not be included. The topic must be selected by week 6 of the course.
After Reading and watching all of the files and videos listed below, you can use ANY topic, not just from the class, that focuses on Blackness as it pertains to history, art or culture. Maybe “the importance of the Crown Act” or “the truth behind the feud between DuBois and Washington.” The point is that you are making an argument through a research topic.
