think critically about an issue taking place in a city today. Write the
paper.
A. What is the controversy? Explain and provide examples. Ie., if you are discussing urban
tent housing, describe the scenario(s). Cite your written sources.
B. What are the two sides generating the controversy? You will need to write out both sides, even if you disagree with one. Ie., on one hand urban tent housing is a danger to the inhabitants. On the other hand, urban tent housing is a fundamental right of citizenry.
C. Take a stance within your paper and explain why you have come to your position on the controversy. You can agree with one of the sides fully or only in part. Or you can disagree with both sides and suggest a new angle on the issue.
