For this assignment, students will address the following components in their research paper.Review, study, and report on a domestic or international terrorist event. Look for indicators that might have been missed in preventing the event or suggest solutions to prevent a repeat of the event. Examples: Mumbai, World Trade Center, Oklahoma City Federal Building bombing, or the Aurora, Colorado active shooter incident (additional events can be used for this project, but must be approved by the instructor). Make sure to include the following components: History, motives, and objectives of the event, Strategies that terrorists used to achieve their objective, The involvement of the agencies that managed the event (e.g., Department of Homeland Security and/or FBI),Various counter-terrorism strategies to prevent future events
