Please take a hypothetical journey. You are standing on the North Pole and it is a lovely day in the spring time, so there is still ice there for you to stand on. Select a meridian (a line of longitude) (76 merdian west) to follow and begin your journey, you have 360 meridians to choose from, but you will want to select one that crosses more land than water. You are going to follow your meridian all the way to the South Pole. Along the way I want you to examine, describe and summarize the following:What are the biomes/ecosystems that you encounter and the dominant flora and fauna?
What are the dominant environmental concerns in each major system you encounter?
What are the major landforms and geographical highlights of the regions that you pass through?
What internal earth processes are taking place that form and influence the landscape you are passing through?
Please write a research paper describing your voyage of 5-7 pages. You must use proper citations for the sources you used to research your journey. This means using in-text citations. Your paper should be typed, font of 10 or 12, and include a Work Cited page. You may be inventive with the approach you take to writing this paper, even using the “first person” if you wish, as long as everything is properly referenced.
