Compare two ancient civilizations on how has agriculture from ancient civilizations used and managed their farm labor social hierarchy systems to promote economic growth? Did this social hierarchy system help or hinder the Agrarian process?
Examples of ancient civilizations: Roman Empire, Greek Empire, Byzantine Empire, Medieval Europe, Muslim Empire & Medieval China.
Think about Hierarchy;
Serfdom vs free farmers, slaves vs serfdom or peasant farmer vs Landowner
Employment (farmers & soldiers, farmers & govt project).
Taxes on these types of farmers.

Requirements for Papers:
Each paper will be no more than 800 words in length (not including cited sources at the end) and will specifically address the assigned topic.
Papers will be graded on information, organization, originality, accuracy, spelling, grammar, citations/references, neatness, and timeliness. Papers should be double-spaced.
Unless notified to the contrary, students must include in-text citations with a minimum of five references from the course reading materials plus two additional sources that are not from the course material
Be cautious when citing a URL address; make sure it is from a reliable source. Citations are to be made in APA format. If you are not familiar with APA conventions, please consult the OWL at Purdue at: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/.
Use “Google Scholarly”, “Library Database”, USDA, FDA, EPA, and any other websites that contain solid facts. For additional sources (See Library Research Tab on the Left in Bb). Do not use Wikipedia, a dictionary, or a not approved website (points will be taken off).
Plagiarism will be penalized with a 0 on the paper. Plagiarism includes copying and pasting from another source, yourself or student paper as well as turning in another student’s paper that has been turned in before. Therefore, you need to review the APA book so that you cite it correctly. You will be turning in your papers through turnitin.com if you are over 30% it is likely that you have plagiarized.
Do not email the instructor Assignments; they will not be accepted nor graded if emailed.
Students should submit their papers in Word format (.doc or .docx format) or APA format. It is the student’s responsibility to submit the correct format. If an incorrect format is submitted, the student will not receive a grade on the applicable paper(s). Paper format is 12 points size font, double spaced, one-inch margins, cover page, no abstract page, and reference page in APA.
