1. Search the internet for an informative site about ONLY ONE of the chromosome abnormality disorders (see text Chapter 2 for examples) OR the effects of ONLY ONE teratogen (Chapter 2 Teratogens for examples). Write in detail about ONLY ONE specific teratogen or chromosome abnormality. (What causes the abnormality; what are the characteristics; what is the prognosis; what is the treatment if any) It would also be interesting if you can find info about a chromosome abnormality or teratogen that is not mentioned in the text. (If you use wikipedia as one of your sources, you must corroborate the information with at least one additional source. Wikipedia by itself is not an acceptable research site)

2. Summarize IN YOUR OWN WORDS what you learned about your chosen topic and cite your research sources (web address, journal article, book, etc.) at the bottom of your response. (Please do not use in-text citation, rather just do a complete citation at the bottom of your entry.) Keep in mind this is an objective research assignment, not a personal opinion paper.

Remember to formally cite your research sources at the bottom of your response, even if you only use our textbook which requires a book citation. For source citations, you must follow APA or MLA style which includes enough information that the source can be easily located ( title, author, date, publisher, PAGE NUMBERS USED or Chapter & Section if using Revel). Also if you use internet sources, please copy and paste the long web address of the site at the end of your website source citation– where it will go directly to that page if clicked.
