Your essay must be no fewer than 1000 words in length, using the 5 paragraph essay format. It must be word-processed, double-spaced, and otherwise formatted according to MLA style.
It must include In-text citations and a Works Cited paged. Points will be deducted if these items are not formatted correctly in MLA format (see rubric).
It is worth 100 points toward your final grade and will be graded according to the departmental grading rubric (see the grading rubric in Course Materials). Essays not meeting the word count, will not receive a passing grade.
You may NOT use any outside sources for this assignment, besides your textbook ; if you do, you will receive a ZERO on the assignment. Also, you may NOT write this essay in First or Second person. Failure to comply to this rule will result in a severely low grade.
