You represent Ryan Holle and are in the judge’s chambers discussing the case with the judge and the Assistant District Attorney. You are trying to resolve the case with a plea bargain and are discussing possible options. What will you argue in your client’s defense to try and get the D.A.’s Office to give your client a good deal? Using what you learned about Felony-Murder this week, explain why the D.A.’s Office should not proceed with Felony Murder charges against your client. How will the D.A. respond to rebut your position? If you were the judge giving the young lawyers some friendly advice and guidance (because that’s what the judges do!), what would you recommend they do with this case?
