Read the following scenario and answer the following questions in your essay.
Jaimini is a four-year-old child whose family recently moved from India. She has been attending Happy Hearts Daycare in a small Midwestern town for the past two weeks. Happy Hearts provides lunch which typically consists of a meat, a vegetable, and a bread to the children. Leon, who is the teacher, notices that Jaimini eats very little. He also noticed that if Jaimini does eat, she only eats with her hands. Jaimini’s mom sets up a conference and comes in to explain that Jaimini comes home every day saying she is very hungry. She said Jaimini is beginning to cry every morning when her mom says it is time to go to school. She explains that Jaimini has said that she does not know the food at Happy Hearts, and that when she eats with her hands, the other children tell her to use her fork. Jaimini’s mom explains that in India it is customary to eat with the right hand and that the diet is much different.
What questions could be asked to Jaimini’s mom to learn more about the food that Jaimini is accustomed to eating?
