Annotated Bibliography
An Annotated Bibliography is a Works Cited with a detailed annotation below each citation. It is great preparation for your research paper because you must read each source carefully.
For an Annotated Bibliography, you must follow three steps:
Summarize : Summarize the main points of each source What are the main arguments? What is the point of this article or book? What topics are covered? If someone asked what is this article/book about, what would you say?

Assess: Evaluate the source. Is it an academic or non-academic source? Does the source include solid, convincing evidence? Does the source consider opposing arguments? Is the information reliable? Is the source biased or objective? What’s the purpose of this source? What is your overall assessment of the source?

Reflect: Ask you it fits into your research. Was this souce helpful to you? How does it help shape your argument? How can you use this source in your research paper? Has it changed how you think abou the topic?

Each annotation must be at least 100 words but no more than 250words. You will refer to your annotation when you work on your Argument Research Paper.
