Infographic Assignment (30% of final grade)
For this assignment you will be creating an infographic to share with school-age children between six (6) and 12 years old on the topic of social justice.

Learning Outcomes being assessed:
1. Demonstrate the leadership skills necessary to carry out school-age programming.
2. Begin to demonstrate an awareness of human diversity and the importance of incorporating a bias free attitude while working with others.
3. Engage in the reflective process.
Infographic: (15%)
“Infographics are visual representations of data, using images and charts for easy and quick reading and analysis” (The Learning Portal, 2021). Using the information in class and additional research you will create an infographic on social justice to share with school-age children. The infographic should be suited for children between 6-12 years. The information in the infographic is to be developmentally appropriate for this age group.
Information to Include:
1. What is the bias?
2. Why is it important for school-agers aware of this bias?
3. What can school-agers do to combat the bias? This is actionable behaviours.
Reflection Questions:
1. What were the main pieces of information that you wanted to highlight in your infographic? Why is this information important to share with school-age children? (5%)
2. How does having knowledge of social justice support a child’s sense of belonging? (5%)
3. If you had the opportunity to share this with school-age children, how would you introduce it? What questions might you ask the children? How might you extend the information in the infographic? (5%)
