The Sixties came to an end with the Vietnam War still ongoing. The anti-war and civil rights movements took severe blows as the Seventies got underway. The right was able to exploit a prolonged economic downturn that began in 1973 to reshape politics and eventually the culture of the last quarter of the 20th century.
As you start this week, I want you to think about this time in U.S. history. What have you learned about it before? What do you expect to learn this week?
