Personification

Let the object ‘speak’ by personifying it, and make it address itself to someone viewing it in the museum or encountering it through the museum’s online resources (500 words). Here you can really have some fun. What kind of character might the object have, do you think? How would it speak? The object should refer to itself as ‘I’ and the viewer, the addressee, as ‘you.’ Consider some or all of the following in order to fire your invention. What does the object make of being in a museum? Does it have any wisdom to impart? What does it think of the people who come along to view it? What has the object seen over the years of it being in the museum? What manner of speech does it have? What is its ethos? What message would it like to convey and how might it best do so?
