You have been asked to help with the induction of new
members of staff (one front line staff and one venue/back-office
staff). Practically explore risk assessment covering selected
sport or recreation activity; review the risk assessment.
The discussion should be in different angle and be particular to
the selected sport and staff.
You can cover but not limit to the following topic:
⚫ Introduction the importance of risk management to
selected personnel and sport/activity.
⚫ Discuss the risk management training you think is suitable
for your staffs.
⚫ Explain the induction timeline and context by using
example.
⚫ Compare and contrast different risk management induction
for different staffs and sports/activities.
⚫ Use different tools to identify different risk and hazards for
your selected activities.
⚫ Any other relevant information.
There are 3 sport centers (Madam Kwok Chung Bo Fun Sports
and Cultural Centre, Wai Hang Sports Centre and Dr Stephen
Hui Sports Hall) and a track and field (Joint Sports Centre) inHKBU, as well as a sport center in Shek Mun Campus. Visit
one of the above sports centers, observe and identify any risk
and risk management policy.
