This major assignment will allow you to examine in depth an issue or a topic related to
communication technologies. You will write a 20-page research paper (including cover page,
abstract, and references, but excluding tables or figures if needed) that follows American
Psychological Association (APA) style. The length of the main text should be about 15 pages.
Then, you will present a summary of your paper to your classmates with PowerPoint slides for 9-
10 minutes. Due to the substantiality of the project, I will set several deadlines throughout the
semester to ensure that you are on the right track. Please pay attention to them. Do not imagine
that you can finish a quality research paper in just a few days–it cannot be done. Plan and work
ahead. Research takes time, planning, and patience. Of course, I am available to provide you with
guidance.
